So I haven't written at all since I had Levi nearly three months ago. But here goes the update.
I've been able to keep up with my scrapbook pretty well, although I am going to need a new one soon. The book is already so thick! Half of the things in it are from before he was born because I wanted to be able to look back on my first pregnancy and be able to remember everything. Plus, it kept me sane because I was so nervous that I was doing anything and everything to keep my hands and minds busy. I'll add those to the end for anyone who wants to see.
I was FINALLY able to go and take my last test for my English Lab class. I had intended to go and take the final exam on the day that my professor was offering it back in May, but it was three days after I'd had Levi and it also fell on the day of his two month checkup so it had to wait. But looking back, I think it was a blessing in disguise. I was so exhausted and out of it that I would have had no business taking a test. Waiting gave me an opportunity to study in small increments over the course of two months and I feel like I was better prepared for it than I otherwise would have been. No word back from her yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will post my grades soon.
I have been writing for a site called Elance for some time now. I'd originally started looking for an online job at the beginning of the year before I even went back to school because I wanted to be able to make a little extra money to save up or use to pay bills. I looked through site after site before coming to that one, and it was the first one that actually seemed legit. I have to say, I really enjoy writing for my clients, and the longer that you are on there, and the more jobs you get...well, the more jobs you'll get!!!! For any other of my friends that are stay at home mommies...if you have any kind of writing talent (or really anything at all, they have other categories to work with for business and such, but I haven't looked into those too closely) I would really suggest signing up. It's an easy way to make a little extra money. And I found a publishing company through the site that was looking for new author's; I submitted a piece that I wrote and they liked it! I'm excited because it's the first thing that I've written that I will actually get paid AND get credit for. I wonder what it will be like to see my name in print????
My little man has been growing so fast! I know all of our family and friends are itching for us to get back home and get ahold of him. He had his first round of shots since birth a few weeks ago and it was awful. It's hard to watch and know that I could keep the pain from happening to him, but shouldn't because he really needs them. It didn't stop me from wanting to knock the needle out of the lady's hand though! He has been doing so much more lately; he has really started to interact with Daddy, whereas before it seemed like I was the only person he really wanted to be around. I'm so excited that my two men are bonding. :) I still want him to be a mommy's boy but I know as soon as he's big enough, he'll be out there with daddy working on the truck and going fishing! He is already trying to sit up by himself, and when he lays on his stomach for tummy time he kicks and kicks and gets so frustrated that he isn't going anywhere! He can roll from his back onto his side, but not all the way over yet. He also likes holding his rattle although his hand movements are still erratic and it worries me because sometimes he hits himself in the head! But I know I have to calm down a little and let him learn on his own. That doesn't mean I'm not going to keep a close eye on him though! He had also gotten to the point to where he wants to be held constantly. This is partially due to the fact that I want to hold him all the time and partially because when we went to visit our relatives he got held 24/7. After checking if he is hungry, his diaper is dirty, or needs to be burped, and none of the above is the cause, we've been trying to let him cry for five or ten minutes before we pick him up. And the little stinker has got it figured out because he stops crying almost instantly! I still am against him watching a lot of TV because I'd rather him be playing with his toys or interacting with us, but I have to admit, sometimes, especially in the evenings when we are exhausted, its easier to just let him sit in our lap and let him watch it for a little while to calm him down.
I've been trying really hard to increase how much milk I am pumping and saving. I belong to a breastfeeding support group on Facebook and one mother said she was able to get 142 oz a week by feeding from one breast and pumping from the other. I try to do that as much as possible, but sometimes it just doesn't seem enough for Levi. And unless it becomes and ABSOLUTE necessity I will not supplement with formula. So I'll keep trying this method for now, because it does seem to be able to yield a little bit more than just pumping in between feedings did. I'm also considering trying Milky!, which is a natural supplement that is supposed to help increase milk production if drank twice daily. The only downside is, it costs 2.99 a bottle or you can get it in a pack of like twelve or fourteen for 36.00. As much as I would love to try it, I don't have the extra money lying around to use on that, not when what I am producing now is enough (I'm mainly wanting to produce more so I can save more) and I don't want to take a few, then stop and it mess up my milk production. So for now, not going to mess with it.
We have also put our search for a home on hold for the moment. We just don't want to add one more thing to stress over with our plate once we are home. For the time being we are moving into Mom's house, and she has been generous enough to allow us the master bedroom. It will be easier on all of us for helping out with bills and groceries. I'm just happy we are going to be in SETX at all so that we can see our families! I feel like my horse isn't even going to know who I am once I get home!
I think that just about covers everything for this post. One of my sister in laws blogs is so much more cutesy than mine, and I wish I was that creative! Maybe I'll try to come up with a theme for each of my days, but I don't know that I have the time : /
So for now, that's my big information lecture. Hope ya'll didn't fall asleep from boredom (I know it was a lot to take in)!!!

The following are all the week before Levi's induction, and then the night before, his "pre-birthday party" at olive garden, plus some pics from the hospital and few from after we brought him home. If you are my friend on facebook then you've probably already seen most of them.
